billingualism

The period up to the age of three is an extremely important stage in the child's development. In the Private creche Little Miracles, we use the knowledge and achievements of contemporary childcare and educational pedagogy widely promoted and taught in Poland. We also introduce elements of educational methods used in other EU countries, personally assimilated by our staff while running educational facilities abroad. All this is supported by the principles of the bilingualism program, to educate and entertain our children every day, giving them the best start in their life.

The Universal Bilingualism program uses the world's first, groundbreaking, but also the most natural way to learn English in early childhood, parallel to the mother tongue. It is a specially created world of heroes, songs, animated films and prepared on this basis language-music-movement games, for both individual and group activities. Bilingualism, among others improves concentration, affects better divisibility of attention and memory (semantic and episodic), deepens cultural and social sensitivity, develops analytical and empathic skills.

Bilingual children, and later adults achieve better results in learning, have greater opportunities for social and cultural adaptation. Apart from language skills, bilingualism is associated with numerous benefits for the child's intellect, psyche and health. The brain receives a healthy dose of training, and at the same time knowledge and skills that at this stage of development are perpetuated extremely quickly and effectively

Methods of working with Children - Private Creche Little Miracles

We all know how important and difficult it is to raise a child. We would like our children to have the best possible start in life, we want to prepare them as best as possible and introduce them into preschool and school age, and eventually into adult life. It is extremely important that the teaching process starts from the first moments of children's life. In our creche we understand how important this process is, this is why we use a blended aproach using different methods to support and stimulate the child's  development. Below we would like to present them and discuss briefly:

METHODS  BASED ON VISUALIZATION, FAIRY TALE THERAPY AND METAPHORMS

Imagination is very important  in the development of the child. Little children are already learning to distinguish fiction from reality. Using visualizations, fairy tale metaphors, theater, we create stories that are designed to help the child identify with the hero and thus help overcome problems or situations of various kinds with which the child cannot cope. This method, suited to the child's age, brings amazing results. This is especially visible in situations of overcoming educational difficulties, children's fears and the child overcoming new stages in his life. In an appropriate way, tailored fairy tales, stories or performances provide the child with a sense of security and release his creativity, develop imagination and create opportunities for the child to admire new topics, consolidate and expand their knowledge.

METHODS SUPPORTING EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, BASED ON COOPERATION WITH PARENTS

Each child is an individual. With this in mind proper teaching methods are selected. In our creche, we create environment and encourage parents to cooperate with us. Who knows their child better than parents? We encourage parents to share information about the child so that we can get to know the character and personality of our pupils. During the settling period, we also devote time to parents, and provide support on our behalf. We aim at carers getting to know the child, they will work with everyday we also create opportunities for parents to get to know the institution, staff, methods of working with children and building mutual trust. We encourage parents to participate and cooperate in organizing important celebrations (birthday , holidays). To help children adapt in a new environment, integrate the group and help parents to get involved in the events of the facility, we encourage you to share your favorite books and materials. This method has a positive effect on the sense of security, belonging and identification of the child.

METHOD OF POLISENSORIC IMPACT ON THE CHILD

By passing on knowledge to our pupils, we use methods that affect the largest number of senses to make the children learn the content better and faster. We not only engage the sense of sight or hearing but also touch, smell and taste. It gives a chance to familiarise with the surrounding world in a comprehensive way, not just a small piece.

EDUCATIONAL KINESIOLOGY METHOD BY PAUL DENNISON

This method is called the gymnastics of the brain and is based on the use of natural physical movement, necessary to organize the work of the brain and body, for the self-structuring learning (experience) and creative self-fulfillment of the individual through various specialized movement exercises. Physical exercises are developed in a way that integrates the work of the brain and body. Thanks to this, all parts of the brain engage and can work together. Childhood is the special time when both physical movement and the development of the intellect are closely related to each other.

The child's development should be natural, based on the natural mechanisms of thought and movement integration. The kinesiology method focuses on exercises that are based on the development of various systems of movement coordination and psychophysical functions. According to Dennison, the exercises are conducive to reviving the basic experiences of the individual, in particular: visual, auditory and sensory-motor, supporting the so-called development habits.

VERONICA SHERBORN'S DEVELOPENTAL MOVEMENT METHOD

The main assumptions of this method are development through movement:

  • awareness of one's own body and movement improvement,

  • awareness of space and activities in it,

  • sharing space with other people and making close contact with them.

This way, we provide the child with the opportunity to get to know their own body, improve motor skills, the sense of their strength, fitness and mobility by both touch and movement, physical and emotional relationships.

RUDOLF LABAN'S MOVEMENT ANALYSIS

This method indicates the natural mobility and natural style of the child's motor skills. Various forms of movement and expression are used:

  • play

  • dance

  • music

  • movement

  • exercise

  • motion improvisation

  • combining movement with music and rhythm

  • use of percussion instruments

Child's inventiveness, fantasy and experience are used to create a movements.

CARL ORFF'S APPROACH IN MUSIC EDUCATION

This method emphasizes that the child's physical culture should be developed in close connection with the culture of the word, rhythmic and musical culture. The main goal is to free children's tendency to self-expression and develop creative inventiveness. Emphasis is placed on the musical activity of the child and freedom in improvisation.

Playing instruments (drums, triangles, tambourine, rattles, acoustic boxes) play here a crucial part.

ACTIVITY PROGRAMS FOR BODY AWARENESS CONTACT AND COMMUNICATION BY KNILL'S

This method uses a sequence of movements engaging individual parts of the body to the rhythm of the music. A given movement lasts a moment, then another is announced, so that the child will associate and recognize individual movement sequences. This is to stimulate the entire sensorimotor zone of the child, develop its cognitive processes and encourage them to make the effort.

After completing the exercise children relax with quiet music. The child then has time to calm down, relax and rest.

BATII STRAUSS ACTIVE LISTENING TO MUSIC METHOD

The purpose of this method is to teach children to listen actively, to familiarise with classical music and to sensitize it. While listening to the song, the children sitting or standing perform simple dance movements according to the teacher's instructions. The children not only get to know new music but also enjoy it.

FINGER PAINTING METHOD

The method of ten fingers painting is appreciated for its therapeutic value and diagnostic values. The use of this method is aimed at:

  • instilling faith in one's own strength

  • help in overcoming anxiety

  • free yourself from inhibitions

  • stimulation of fantastic expressions

Each child is provided with a blank sheet of paper and a tray of colorful paints. The child dips his fingers in the paint and then transfers it onto a sheet of paper creating a unique artistic work. Younger children use primary colors. As games are being expanded with a larger palette of colors, children are allowed to use any creative expression.

During the child's work with colors, music is often played.
