In 2026, the Municipality of Kraków provides subsidies for children in care.
The amount of the subsidy for each child residing in the Municipality of Kraków covered by the care of a nursery or children's club, or a day carer in the period from 1 January 2026 to 31 August 2026 is PLN 2.90 (in words: two zlotys 90/100) per hour of care and in the period from 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2026 is PLN 1.90 (in words: one zloty 90/100) per hour of care.
Pursuant to the agreement signed with the Municipality of Krakow in this regard, during the period of receiving a subsidy, we reduce the monthly fees for childcare by an amount no lower than the amount of the subsidy received from the Municipality of Krakow for a given child. The monthly amount by which the care fees are reduced is calculated according to the formula: number of hours of childcare provided in a given month (calculated on the basis of the care agreement concluded with the parent, but not more than 10 hours per day) x from January 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026 - PLN 2.90 (in words: two zlotys 90/100) per hour of care, and in the period from September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 it is PLN 1.90 (in words: one zloty 90/100).
For children with disabilities, the Krakow Municipality provides an additional subsidy of PLN 6 for each hour of childcare. This subsidy does not affect the parent's fees.
At the same time, we would like to inform you that the subsidy and the above-mentioned provisions apply only to children residing in the city of Krakow.
Any comments regarding the grants granted should be directed to the Policy Department
